We use on-device Artificial Intelligence to analyze your meals locally on your iPhone. What you eat is your business, not ours.
This Privacy Policy describes how AI Smart Plates ("we," "us," or "our") handles your data. By using our app, you agree to the practices described below.
Data Collection & Usage
We believe the best way to protect your privacy is to collect as little data as possible.
All photo analysis and food recognition happen directly on your iPhone using Apple's Neural Engine and CoreML. We do not upload your photos to the cloud. Your food diary and calendar history are stored locally on your device.
We ask for permission to access your Camera and Photo Library solely to scan food items you select. These images are processed in real-time on your device. Once analyzed, the images remain on your device for your personal history review.
AI Coach & Health Data
The "AI Coach" feature analyzes your locally stored consumption trends to offer suggestions.
- This analysis is performed 100% locally
- We do not train our models on your personal data
- Your dietary trends are never sold to advertisers or third parties
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. Since we do not collect your personal data on our servers, we have nothing to sell.
Analytics
We may use Apple's standard, anonymous opt-in crash reporting (available via iOS Settings) to help us fix bugs. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is aggregated.
Data Retention
Because your data is stored on your device, you are in complete control. If you delete the AI Smart Plates app, all local data, including your food history and calendar logs, is permanently deleted from the device.
AI Private Notes
Your Voice. Your Thoughts. Your Privacy.
We combine Apple's Foundation Models with Google Gemma 3 to process your audio entirely on your device. No audio files or transcripts are ever sent to a server.
This policy outlines how AI Private Notes protects your data.
Audio & Microphone Usage
We require access to your device's microphone to record voice notes.
- Local Recording: Audio is recorded and stored directly in the app's secure local container (Sandbox)
- Local Transcription: We use on-device speech recognition to transcribe audio to text
- No Cloud Uploads: We do not upload your recordings to the cloud for processing
AI & Data Processing
Our "Hybrid AI Advantage" runs complex language models locally.
- Google Gemma 3 & Apple Foundation: These models are downloaded to your device and run on your iPhone's Neural Engine
- Input Data: The text transcripts fed into these models for summarization never leave your phone
- Zero Training: We do not use your notes or audio to train our AI models
Camera & Photos
If you choose to attach photos to your notes (e.g., whiteboard snapshots), we access the camera or library only to save that specific image to the note. These images are stored locally alongside your audio.
Exports & Sharing
When you use the "Pro-Level Export" features (PDF, Audio, Text), the app generates these files locally. You explicitly choose where to send or save them (e.g., to Files, AirDrop, or Email).
Data Retention
All your recordings, transcripts, and AI summaries are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app permanently removes all data from your device.
